13. Animating

Exercise #4: Animating your Flourish visualization

In this simple exercise, we’ll set our data in motion using the Play button in Flourish.

Instructions:

  1. In your Bubble chart in Flourish, click the Play button in the top right corner to set your data in motion
  2. To speed it up or slow it down, go to the Time Slider area of the formatting pane on the right and play with the “Time between steps when playing” control.
  3. Try it at 0.25 seconds, or 1.0 seconds. Which do you prefer?
